Hmm I think it's a great idea, but IMHO 9am would be too early for most web types - me included.

Perhaps brunch :D Or afternoon tea (the void between lunch and dinner).

I was once invited to a meetings of BNI Network on the freakingly early morning ( 730am, but I'm a morning person so no problem ) Friday morning at EcoGreen Organic Cafe at Damansara. Attendance only for member and invited only. Although I was invited, I have to pay for non-member charge and that payment for the breakfast meal. however I find that meeting very insightful.

As for early stages, we might can meet at cafes. But once the event becomes more larger ( as in 20+ people ) we might need to rent/book places exclusively for us but with an entree payment, or some sponsors because that time (20++ people ) space is much more important.. I think.

As for location, my personal preferences would be the place within transport coverage ( LRT/Bus ) it would make it more easier.

Just a penny, looking forward for this :)

Sounds like a good idea, I'm happy to do Saturday morning, but I also agree with ShaolinTiger, 9am seems too early, maybe 10 over a cup of coffee, or even brunch. But I'd prefer over coffee, anytime :)
