Colin Charles Agenda: Review: The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

    Good review, very thorough.

Honestly I think for the price it's a hell of a phone.

If you think 8GB is ridiculous, wait till you see the N97 - I think it's going to have 48GB (32GB built in + 16GB SD).

tbh i am getting a bit sick of the touch screen. nothing wrong with it - i like that it's sensitive to fingertips (not just fingers as how other touch screen phones require) but i realise that i prefer button button one.

unfortunately i am far from being sick of the nokia 5800 battery life which is 2x more lasting than my nokia n82. sometimes 2.5x even

You have to plug in the headset for radio, because the headset is the antenna for the fm signals. Radio antennas need to be larger to get good reception.

A touch screen keyboard is nothing like one that provides tactile feedback, similar to a blackberry or an e71/e61i/e90/etc...

Aloha from Hawaii. My name is Tim, aka Cellular-Decay.

In spite of my fascination with gadgets, I only recently got into fancy cell phones ("smart" phones). I used to carry a basic phone and a PDA, because I didn't like what was available in "convergence" devices. It just seemed like they were too much of a compromise.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic "Tube" seems to have changed my mind, since my old Razr and Zodiac have been collecting dust lately. There are things the Zodiac did better, but I'm still early in the learning curve for the 5800, and I'm pretty confident that with some more time (and applications) I will find it easy to forget the old Z.

There are, of course, lots of things the 5800 does better, so even if I can't totally forget the Z, I'm sure I won't have any regrets.

Oh well..I hang out at http://www.Nokia5800Forum.com a lot. take care all. See ya 'round.
